The primary purpose for me wanting to go further in graduate school to obtain my M.S. degree in the Mental Health Counseling Specialization, and by three to five years afterwards become a doctor is out of my love and dedication to my Nation of People the Nuwaubians and others. Further I would like to commit myself out of this passion to be able to personally contribute to the upliftment of Black People, other Minorities, and other disadvantaged, impoverished, people in society who have mental or other social problems, causing dilemma’s in their lives. I do personally feel and realize that if I am able to reach the highest point of my own personal peak, that by this I will be in a much better position to do more of a tremendous good towards being able to bring up other people along with me. It is my intention to not only aid people to alleviate their condition of crisis but to as well enrichen the lives and lifestyles of so many others, not only changing their lives socially or mentally, but to also bring as many as I can out of poverty and despair once I am able to achieve my ultimate goals. I look at the world around me and I see that it is my people who have the least of most anything, while prisons are continuing to be built and education is less valued than layoffs, and crime, along with suicides, homicides, drug addiction, and unwanted pregnancies there needs to be a call to enlightenment and more contribution to social, psychological benevolence for all. I feel that with all the problems in the world that if I am able to do anything to bring about a change for the better personally, then it is my Nuwaubian and God-given duty to try to answer the great call of humanity in especially my own people, no matter what I may have to endure or even how long it may take me. If I should succeed in my personal endeavors I feel that humanity will have one more member perhaps that would be a great champion for the good of peoples cause. If I should by any happen stance fail to achieve my overall goals then at least I would know within my heart of hearts that no matter how difficult it may have been for me I had the cultivation and enhancement of all people in my heart and mind, and then I will know that it was no failure at all but that I must re-group myself and continue to try up until the day I die. What I intend to do is not just for me and mine, but also because I feel the need for all having had gone through the situations of where in life I hope to be a part of, the utopian of a solution for the many existing problems that affect my life and my peoples lives. It will be no burden to me to bear down hard with inside myself to achieve this agenda keeping these points in mind that it’s not just for me but for all. You see I do believe that one day I will have to look back at my entire life and answer to someone about the rights and wrongs that I have done to help myself and many, then hopefully be proud to reply and see that although it was tough for me I was a true martyr of the greatest righteous cause with my own virtue to see none suffer but to be a God-send to all humanity. I do realize that there will be those who will say that it is impossible for me, and that I never will succeed but I being me must do all I can to succeed and bring so many others that I will reach along with me. There may come times when I may wonder why or there may come times when I may question is it all worth my while but at these times it would be this heart founded statement that I pray with my faith and devotion to my rationalization driven by God and my inner spirit down deep that would see me through the rougher roads ahead. I am not asking of myself to do anything easy but rather to do something that I know will be totally honored and worth my total efforts and while. If it had been easy I might not want to try because I perhaps instead of achieving this degree in the school towards societal empowerment and capability to proceed with this life journey of mine would already have achieved and there would be no need. It is only due to my recognition that a certain status and level must be acknowledged and must be reached in order for me to proceed and hopefully on the greatest level succeed as I know I must put myself through a personal battle in order to attain my benevolent life’s point. I take very little inventory to my personal recognition but much more rather to the cause of so many needy others. I feel and know I must somehow find a way to succeed and always continue to try because here in this arena I know that I not only would try with my endeavors but in God’s eyes I think he knows that I have succeeded. These things I must say are my drive, intention, motivation, and total complete purpose in pursuing this and working toward the highest point in graduate school. As the old sayings go nothing beats a failure but to try, try again, and the Chinese often say that the journey of a thousand miles begins with the very first step. I say that the very best ideas are the ones devoted not to the self, but to the richest good in and for others, one idea can lead one to be a great leader, or even just a doctor.

There is a need for a more positive exemplary change of leadership from a minority perspective due to centuries of disenfranchisement, and a sense from hopelessness to hope everyday, growing from one making the difference for the many. In pursuing a role of responsibility, there is a great need to help not merely oneself but as well all others in this continual process. The skills acquired in being able to learn, write, think, advocate, and locate rights of entitlement through the academic process of research is vitally in demand with getting to know the ethical duty one has of using education, and know how, to show, help, and reach any and all people but especially those at a disadvantage. A statement in sacred writing is that the best way one can be honorable is to be of utmost service to others, and the greatest gift of all in this reality is to be able to give of oneself for the greater benefit of others if one has the chance to do so. To look at the world today is to see that although progress is coming about on a basic level there are still so many in despair that need to know and understand the way to achieve, and be motivated by example to overcome. It is a present day and historical recognition of reality that while many may be of the elite and have that it is minority people such as oneself who have the least most of anything in life, least of all opportunities to see one like themselves in any position of honor. The reality for most seeing themselves in disenfranchisement is that while prisons are continuing to develop a slave class again, education, and opportunity of hope for most is less accessible. The lack of opportunity though growing less is still more abundant for minorities especially more so than layoffs, unemployment, poverty, crime, homicide, suicide, drug addiction and other forms of violence, degradation, and so forth, there is a need to answer a call to provide enlightenment, and contribute to the social, psychological benevolence for all. It is a personal belief that with all of the problems in the world that if one is able to do anything to bring about a change for the better personally, for oneself, and ones people then it is a God – given duty to do so. To take a stand to at least try to answer the call for humanity especially when it comes to ones own people is a personal recognition of the responsibility to continually offer hope, and educate oneself. Coming from similar and humble beginnings is to know that wherever chance to make a change presents itself then one cannot and should not refuse to do so. It is a great honor to accept the membership in the Chi Upsilon Chi and Chi Sigma Iota worldwide organizations to carry out the mission of what this composition is about to one personally. In whatever capacity one can contribute to organizations such as these it is an honor to accept such tasks of exemplary honor. Perhaps by affiliation into this membership one can benefit by meeting others of influence and like mind to further one’s life mission. Beyond graduation one may be able to share the experiences, of the mission, and message of Chi Upsilon Chi, and Chi Sigma Iota wherever one goes. What it will mean in one’s desire for a professional private counseling practice is that those who may not have a chance elsewhere to be able to have more of a positive productive chance and example to develop by means of this members organization and continual contribution to the world. Leadership to begin is the ability to have a sense of rational in reference, and respect to others while making a difference where one can. Leadership is having the ability to recognize where, when, how, why, and for what reasons one may be able to make a difference while reserving one’s own personal strength, and sanity to be able to make such a difference in the lives of others regardless of circumstance. Leadership is the ability to see needs and take initiative to fulfill the needs of oneself in relation to those of others. Leadership moreover is the ability to be able to be an example to others while not faltering in the face of adversity irrespective of where one may err. Leadership within CSI means having the ability, endurance, and will power to help others above and beyond the happenings that may occur with oneself. Leadership in CSI is to be of service to all people while continuing to be human enough to acknowledge a higher form of consciousness. Leadership often in this cold, cruel world, may mean that one may themselves be capable of erring, yet have the ability, knowledge, fortitude, and responsibility to correct some if not all mistakes one may make. Leadership is character, to solve the dilemmas of self and others relying on one’s higher recognition of consciousness whatever it may be personally. Leadership is a selfless endeavor. Leadership in CSI is to know that while no one individual nor entity is infallible to error, alternately though to be able to handle such where and when it occurs in a professional, suitable, and responsible manner as such is at times only human of us. Leadership is to respect and appreciate the diversity and uniqueness that lays in all. Leadership within CSI often is the willingness, initiative, and action with ability to help those who are not able to help themselves, starting with oneself. Leadership within CSI is character, being able to be mindful, humble, courteous, merciful, and cordial enough to effectively with knowledge, and ability be able to contribute, reach out, and advance the right causes towards the well being of self and others no matter whether prosperous, distressed, or not. Leadership is one’s ability to realize and care about the concerns of individuals selflessly, to empathize, empower, and alleviate burdens. These burdens where one may help are alleviating such as depression, disillusionment, alienation, isolation, or other modalities of stress, anguish, and situations of problems, contentment, discontentment, and/or so forth. Leadership is being a catalyst of solutions, helping to achieve, while realizing that we all have a true, and genuine purpose in life whereby we can leave our mark. More so, leadership in CSI means spreading, and sharing the words, and endeavors of which we all have the ability to not only know self, relative to others but as well be able to help others find true meaning within them.
